Dismantling our old dock by Gordon and Dan is a part of our 2009 spring resort story. Picture Gordon and Jennifer ready to buy a new John Deere Utility Tractor and a dishwasher for the restaurant in April. Picture the rotten ice flowing out of Tom Cod Bay on April 25. Imagine waking up on Sunday, April 26 to a lake of rotten ice and a 30 mph east wind, gently pushing the ice towards our harbor. By 2:30 p.m.that same day, half of our crib dock/harbor was uplifted and crumpled into our bay. As our Iowa farmer friends joke, there went the tractor order. We are still waiting for a John Deere Tractor sign that has been threatened to be nailed onto our new harbor docks in eulogy (no pressure Dan).
